Ruby with Catch The Dream

Ruby purchased her first Boxer in 1970, Wardrobes William Tell who was a wonderful companion but was never shown.

At this time horses were her passion involving hunter trials and mock hunting and it was not until she decided to ‘hang up her riding boots’ and follow another hobby, that the idea of showing and breeding Boxers arose.

So  after William, came Seefeld Nice’N Spicy who was taken to a few shows but proved more useful in the whelping box as when mated to Ch. Tyegarth Famous Grouse for her first litter, she produced Tudora Anniversary Rose, who won a Reserve CC

Born in June 1981 Anniversary Rose did well in the ring, consistently in the cards and delighted her owner when she won the Reserve CC at Richmond 1982 under Judge D. Rayne from the USA.

In 1984 she was mated to Jack Daniels of Tyegarth and from this litter came Tudora Mystic Maid who won her Junior Warrant and the Reserve CC at the Mancunian Boxer Club 1987 under Ruth Hughes of Riddashausen Boxers.

In 1992 Ruby bought in Malhar Honeydew for Tudora from Roma Kirpalani, whose best wins were Best In Show at the British Boxer Club Open Show in 1993 under the late Stan Thompson (Trinaka) and a Green star in Ireland at the Tralee 1994 Ch. Show under Millicent Knox-Ingram.

She in turn was mated to Huttonvale High Treason and a brindle and white male, Tudora Highland Spring, was retained but never shown and Ruby was out of the ring for several years.

Tudora Highland Spring

In 2001 Ruby was married to Mike Spanswick and soon after bought two red and white bitches from Sue Harvey as she liked them both. After some deliberation Faerdorn Live The Dream for Tudora was retained. Lucy went on to be a very consistent winner, being shortlisted for the CC on several occasions and produced the winning duo Tudora Glad All Over, 3 RCCs and Tudora Catch The Dream.
